The triumph of beauty – the haute couture collection of Dolce&Gabbana inspired by Como
In different fabulous places (villas and parks) in Como area, in Italy, took place in the beginning of July a lot of events (gala evenings, fashion shows, dinners, the pop-up shop on old steam-boat Patria etc.) devoted to the alta moda/ haute couture of Dolce & Gabbana and their new collection “D&G Loves Como”, inspired by Como. We were lucky to see this wonderful collection which was so impressively beautiful, as called in Italian local media – the “The Triumph of Beauty”, that we would like to bring you at least some beautiful moments and thoughts said in interviews by Domenico and Stefano (top stylists and founders of the Dolce & Gabbana brand).
Every summer they create a collection devoted to one special place in Italy and similar events have already taken place for example in Portofino, Palermo, Venice, Napoli and in other places. Everything is made in Italy and they are very proud to be italians.
Many wonderful models were participating in shows – like 48-year-old but so young Naomi Campbell, 70-year-old Elon Musk’s mother and model Maye Musk, 49-year-old Helena Christensen and 45-year-old Eva Herzigova. They were all like actors in this art stories and fashion shows. The fashion collection for men was inspired by Napoleon Bonaparte and his era.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said in different interviews in Como: “The haute couture is really for a very few people, so we share it in social media just because we would like to share this joy of our work and to show how we work. We have always followed our instincts, will and passion. We do not share it in social media because we want to sell, we do not want to sell anything through social media, but we would like to show how we work and how beautiful is Italy, we would like to thank you Italy and our cooperation partners and people in our team – just because of this we share our events and work in social media.
We do alta moda/ haute couture and characters in our fashion shows are created with a little irony, playfully. Although the haute couture is a very serious area, everything we do is trying to make it with having fun and joy. ”
We would like to share with you also in future our extraordinary experiences which are related to fashion, art and the top masters of this area, to make our life more colorful and fun 🙂
